Liam Takes Over The Business!
One day, it was just Liam, all eyes on him, and the keys to the salon in his hands. “Taking the reins from Tony was honestly a bit overwhelming,” he admits. “But it was also such a huge honour. I knew I was standing on his shoulders, carrying forward something really special.”
The best part? Nothing really changed, at least not on the surface. Tony had been slowly stepping back for a while, letting Liam ease into the role naturally. It meant that when the official handover happened, it felt like the most natural next step.
After a year of running things behind the scenes, Liam was more than ready to make it official.
So on 1st October 2019, Liam officially took the reins of Tony Wood Hairdressing. With deep roots planted and strong foundations in place, he stepped into leadership with a clear vision, ready to grow the legacy into something even bigger. What he didn’t know? Just six months later, he’d be hit with the kind of curveball no one had a handbook for. Ring any bells? March 2020 - that tiny global event where the world stopped turning and hair salons, along with everything else, shut their doors for what felt like forever. Safe to say that was not included with Tony’s hand over!
